News Wednesday September 27 Put up a couple new photos and a review... still plugging away at the record. Wednesday July 11 We are still plugging away on the record... Mick & Randy are writing songs. Drew came by and banged on the drums while Mick recorded them. Ed has been stressing out about the CABLE film. Mick and I have been writing songs. I have been writing and rewriting my parts. Mick has been telling me I can do better. We have been practicing as a full band occasionally. I don’t know what Prout is doing. We played a show in the woods a couple weeks ago and it was a trip….Brownbird Rudy Relic ruled. Wednesday April 18 New and old reviews have been added to the media section. Also check the links section for places to buy our merch. So we have slowly but surely started working on the new record. Prout came by about a week ago and laid down drum tracks for a few tunes and it's sounding great. In typical Slacks style, we are taking our time with this...no need to rush. We are going to continue to write and rewrite the songs 'til we are 100% happy with them. In the meantime, check out a version of us playing "Orange" live in Super 8. The band got together a couple months ago and recorded it over a few [too many] beers. It's a little rough around the edges, but a gem nonetheless...Randy shreds on it! A properly recorded version will appear on the forthcoming album. Also: Congrats to former Slacks drummer Dan Ballinger and his wife Tracy on the birth of their son Daniel Jordan! Aaaaand...Congrats to guest "Terrestrial"/Cable drummer, Vic Szalaj and his wife Andrea on the birth of their son Ryder! Tuesday March 28 Welcome to our new site! The last couple months we’ve been playing as many shows as we can in support of Terrestrial. We have played all kinds of places, from bars to township buildings to restaurants to biker bars to fancy clubs and had a blast doing it. None of this would have been able to happen if it was not for the people that have put us up in their homes or fed us. Aside from a few occasional shows, the next couple months are going to be spent writing and recording new material. A few of these songs were played over the series of mini tours we did this winter. Some early song titles are “And They’ll Pursue You,” “Orange,” “Westward On” and “Sing & Dismiss.” We plan on playing out again sometime this summer, so check in for updates.
